F A Q

How long does a "Full Body Scan" appointment take?
Your full body thermography screening will take 1 hour (this includes your consultation)
How long does a "Breast Scan" appointment take?
Please allow for 1 hour for your breast screening appointment (this also includes your consultation)

Dose my "Full Body Scan" also include the breasts?
Yes, your full body will be including your breast screening.

Can thermography see cancer?
No, Thermography cannot "see" a cancer. It detects physiological changes that may suggest
an increased risk of cancer at a cellular level, even before it becomes visible on a mammogram.
A biopsy is the only thing that can diagnose your cancer.

What can Thermography detect besides breast cancer?
Thermography can indicate estrogen dominance, lymphatic congestion, and the effects of a
person's diet on breast health. It's a tool not just for disease detection but for
monitoring overall health and the effectiveness of lifestyle changes.

What is the difference between a Mammogram and a Thermogram?
Mammography uses radiation to capture images of breast anatomy and structure,
Thermography, on the other hand, is a physiological test that measures subtle temperature
changes on the skin's surface associated with underlying pathology,
without using radiation or compression.

Do I get my report on the same day to take home with me?
No, you must wait for it to be sent off to the Doctors in the United States through the encrypted
EMI medical platform where a Thermolagist (specialised Doctor) will be doing your reporting.
This then will be sent to "Thermomed Australia" to read through your report.
Once completed, it will be sent to your private email address as a "PDF file"
This process will be completed within the next few days,
please always allow for one week.

What if I don't understand my report once I have received it?
You can book an online consultation with your Thermographer,
this is done through our website that is located on
the "Contact us/ Bookings" page, we will go through your
report with you in detail. This is all is done over the phone.
(consultation fee is $65)

How can I reschedule my appointment If I need to?

or if preferred to give us a call on the numbers provided - 0423845119 / 0439168242

Yes, you can eat food, just as long as it's in your normal diet.
Just no spicy food, no hot or very cold drinks 1 hour before your appointment
Are there any risks or side effects of a thermal screen?
There are absolutely no risks or side effects of Thermography.
The procedure is safe, non-invasive, non-contact and no radiation.

Is Thermography appropriate for breast implants?
Yes. The accuracy of Thermography is not affected in patients with implants.
Since there is no compression there is zero risk of causing damage to the implants.
Also, there is no radiation that can cause drying of the implant membrane.

Do I need a referral or prior authorization?
No you do not need a referral. Most patients come to us referred by practitioners,
but we do not require a referral for the scan.
